Wisdom International School for Higher Education Studies (WISHES) is the first  accredited institution of higher learning offering online
undergraduate up to postgraduate studies in Islamic Studies major in Aqeedah, Islamic Personality Development and Da'wah According to the Qur'an and the Sunnah.

The Doctor of Islamic Studies (Aqeedah, Personality Development and Da'wah) Curriculum aims to attain the following desirable goals:

  1. To train Islamic workers who will actively present Islam to others with wisdom and beautiful preaching according to the Qur’an and Sunnah;

 2. To develop excellent academic researchers and writers or scholars on Islam according to its authentic sources in order to produce quality scholarly books and textbooks on Islamic Studies subjects for
   Muslim learners from pre-elementary to postgraduate levels of the educational system and thus, present the true Message of Islam to all mankind;

 3. To help mold dedicated, honest, sincere and dynamic Muslim leaders who will be prepared to lead their respective communities/societies for a peaceful and prosperous well-balanced life and development; and

 4. To produce outstanding Muslims who will attain success, especially supreme success in the eternal Life Hereafter.

 

Doctor of Islamic Studies Program by Thesis/Dissertation

 (This is a 2-3 year Doctoral program for postgraduate students who already possess doctorate degrees in other fields who meet the requirements.).  They are exempted from taking Islamic Studies courses/subjects.  All they have to do is to submit their research thesis proposal, conduct research and  write a  dissertation or scholarly book on Islam with emphasis on Islamic aqeedah, Islamic personality development and/or da'wah. 

 

Doctor of Islamic Studies Program by Coursework and Dissertation

(This is a 3-5 year Doctoral program for postgraduate students who meet the requirements. Note: Only full time students are allowed to take the maximum 9 units per semester, except for IS 399*Doctoral Thesis/Book Writing on Islam, which is 12 units. Part time students can take 1-2 subjects (3-6 units) per semester, except for IS 399*Doctoral Thesis/Book Writing on Islam, which is 12 units.

 

*The following are the prerequisite subjects for students who are not WISHES MA in Islamic Studies graduates or have not taken the following subjects in their MA program:

1. IS 200 Islamic Knowledge and Education,

2. IS 201 Tawheed and Aqeedah (Islamic Monotheism and Firm Belief)
3. 
IS 202 Explanations and Analysis of Arkanul Islam and Eeman (Pillars of Islam and Faith) in the Light of the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and 
4. IS 211 Da’wah and Enjoining Right and Forbidding Wrong in the Light of the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
