Wisdom International
School for Higher Education Studies (WISHES) is the first accredited
institution of higher learning offering online
undergraduate up to
postgraduate studies in Islamic Studies
major in Aqeedah, Islamic Personality Development and Da'wah According to the Qur'an and
the Sunnah.

1. High
school card and/or diploma or at least applicant must have finished O level
or passed the International General Certificate of Secondary
Education (IGCSE) or the
Standardized Aptitude Test (SAT) for
Grade 10 or transcript of records if the applicant is a college degree
holder or has taken some units in the college level;
2. Birth Certificate (one Xerox copy of the original);
3. Three (3) copies ID pictures 1" x 1" (recent and un-retouched);
4. Student from countries where English is not the medium of instruction and/or not the native language must submit a certification of English proficiency;
5. Completion of the Application Form; and
6. Payment of required registration and tuition fees if the applicant does not qualify for scholarship. (Note: All course materials on electronic format are free.)

records from a credited college or university;

4. Foreign student from countries where English is not the medium of
instruction and/or not the native language must submit a certification of
English proficiency;
5. Applicant must provide the necessary documents/proofs to have met the
following qualifications:
5.1
Applicant must be Bachelor of Arts degree graduate in Islamic Studies with a
grade point average of at least 2.0 from an accredited college or
university. Applicant whose grade is 2.5 maybe admitted on probationary
basis for one semester. If his/her performance after the first semester is
satisfactory then he/she will be allowed to pursue the MA program.
● Applicant whose field is not Islamic Studies with an undergraduate grade
point average of at least 2.0 has to take
MA Plan B program.
5.2 Memorized at least one part of the Qur’an (last jus 30th part)
5.3 Be
proficient in English language and be able to read, write and at least
understand Arabic.
● Applicant who does
not know Arabic and has not memorized at least one part of the
Qur’an (last jus or 30th part) has to take Arabic 1-6 and
IS 106.1 to 106.4(Qur'an 1-4) Qur'an Memorization.
6. Completion of
the
Application Form;
and
7. Payment
of required registration and tuition fees
if the applicant does not qualify for
scholarship.

PhD in Islamic Studies Program by Coursework and Dissertation
1. Copy of official transcript of records from a credited university;
2. Birth Certificate (one Xerox copy of the original);
3. Three (3) copies ID pictures 1" x 1" (recent and un-retouched);
4. Foreign student from countries where English is not the medium of instruction and/or not the native language must submit a certification of English proficiency;
5. Applicant must provide the necessary documents or proofs to have met the following qualifications:
5.1 ● Applicant must be Master of Arts in Islamic Studies graduate with a grade-point average of at least 1.75 in WISHES. Applicant whose grade is 2.0 maybe admitted on probationary basis for one semester. If his/her performance after the first semester is satisfactory then he/she will be allowed to pursue the PhD program.
● MA in Islamic Studies graduate from other recognized university whose Islamic Studies program is based on the Qur’an and Sunnah may be admitted provided he/she meets at least three of the following required experiences:
a.) organized at least 5 public lectures on Islam according to the Qur’an and Sunnah
b.) attended at least 5 Islamic lectures, seminars or conferences (based on the Qur’an and Sunnah)
c.) completed 3 of the 10 WISDOM International Learning Program on Islamic Studies and Personality Development.
d.) active daee (Islamic propagator) for at least three years
e.) taught Islamic Studies subject (based on the Qur’an and Sunnah) for at least five academic years
f.) has given at least 5 Islamic lectures on Islam according to the Qur’an and Sunnah
g.) (for male applicant) has been khatib (one who gives sermons during Friday prayers) for at least two to three years
h) has written (and published) at least 5 articles or 2 booklets or 1 book on Islam based on authentic sources
i.) has translated (from Arabic to English or vice versa) at least three booklets or 2 books on Islam based on authentic sources
5.2 Memorized at least 2 jus (last jus 30th and 29th parts) of the Qur’an;
5.3 Be proficient in English language and be able to read, write and understand Arabic;
6. Completion of the prescribed WISHES Application Form; and
PhD Islamic Studies Program by Thesis/Dissertation
1. Copy of official transcript of records from a credited university;
2. Birth Certificate (one Xerox copy of the original);
3. Three (3) copies ID pictures 1" x 1" (recent and un-retouched);
4. Foreign student from countries where English is not the medium of instruction and/or not the native language must submit a certification of English proficiency;
5. The applicant must be an experienced da'ee or an imam for at least five years whose MA degree or PhD thesis/dissertation has to do with Islam and/or the Muslims and must have written and published at least 3 scholarly books, 5 booklets and 10 articles on Islam based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The applicant must provide the necessary documents or proofs;
6. Completion of the prescribed WISHES Application Form; and
*Note: All documents and other admission requirements (certificates or proofs) must be received by the WISHES Office of the Registrar by e-mail. Student who cannot submit the required documents may be admitted on a probationary basis but must submit all requirements on or before the final examination starts. All students are required to submit (number 1-3) admission requirements by mail one semester before the graduation.
